I don't think it's that they necessarily age better; I think it's that society gives them certain allowances that women don't get.
Men get "weathered" and "rugged" and "silver fox"
Women get "wrinkled" "old hag" etc.
Men can have a "dad bod" and still be considered sexy.
Women have to keep it tight and trim
In general, most men become more successful and mature as they age, while a woman's success and maturity is practically inconsequential. No one cares about it. No one praises them for it.
I know alot of 35/36 men who have to fight women off with a stick. They have more money. They have a good head on their shoulders. They've probably filled out a little and women love it. They want someone substantial, successful, sturdy.
35/36 single women are considered "pathetic", "don't have a man", "bitter", by men and women alike.
It's pretty sad.
