Honestly, a lot people's career's pale in comparison to Bran's. No shade to Jill Scott because I love her music but if she can get honored then it's possible for ol girl. After all, it's The Soul Train Awards/BET. I truly don't deem anyone here after as worthy of being honored in any fashion except Badu. Bran IMO is the last of the diva era (Whitney, Patti, Mariah..) artist who really ushered in a genre.

When Brandy first did Broadway, there were people coming from Asia to see her. Other places too.  I cant remember those. I was like, wow!
