After signing on as the host for VH1's forthcoming drama Daytime Divas, Vanessa Williams is adding more shimmer to the VH1 Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night lineup.

The event -- which marks the franchise's return after a four-year hiatus -- has already called on iconic women in showbiz including Mariah Carey, Patti LaBelle, Teyana Taylor and Chaka Khan.

?I'm thrilled to continue my long-standing relationship with VH1,? Williams said in a release. "Performing on VH1 Divas is the perfect way to start the holiday season."

Williams has soaked up the spotlight since launching her musical career with her 1988 debut The Right Stuff and also going triple platinum with the follow-up, 1991's The Comfort Zone, which hosted the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper "Save the Best for Last." She also lent her voice to the 1995 Disney movie Pocahontas for "Colors of the Wind."

The former Miss America is slated to perform a medley of her hits and a holiday classic at the VH1 Divas Holiday special, airing Dec. 5 at 9 p.m. ET on VH1 live from Brooklyn's Kings Theatre.
