fffff it's funny, me and my friends at work were talking about this last week.

We work in retail and when dealing with customers, we talk in a proper 'white' accent then when the customers leave our area we start talking 'normally' again

See, this is something I get from my family a lot and I never understood it. They look at me side ways because I'm quiet, I don't curse, I have manners etc and I'm just like...

Like, they equate educated with white and I'm just sitting there wondering if they know they're insulting themselves?

I don't have to watch White shows to be able to contribute. If you're as smart as you claim to be you should be able to adapt to your surroundings. All you have to do is listen to the conversation and pick out a topic that resonates with you and use it as your talking point. White people aren't as bright as they try to give off.

Well I've never seen RHOA or BGC, but the sentiment is the same. Whites don't know that mess. Change it with Braxtons, Married To Medicine there you go. And I hardly know black ppl who watch breaking bad or GoT, they watch htgawm or empire

You can be black and speak eloquently
Educated and eloquently doesnt equate to speaking 'white' IMO
White people have a different intonation and pronounication in their words to black people for the most part
You can def tell when a black man is talking  and when a white man is.
