How about signing with an indie label like Domino, 4AD or Young Turks. Even Kelis managed to get her last album released on the iconic Ninja Tune label.

Diddy may have ultimately done some people wrong, but when he's in it, he WINS. Just about everything  he's touched has been successful in one way or another. Let's not act like this ain't so. His business acumen isn't bad.

I'd say true for careers that he STARTED. He's not starting Bran's career; he's helping it. She has more than enough to fall back on.
