What's disgusting about being transgender? Like really? This is why transgender people have a hard time living life being who they are is because of people like some of you in this fucking thread. Gay rights being a white thing? Like really Malcolm? Let me educate you on a number of things. Do you really want to know who were FRONT and CENTER fighting the police during the Stonewall riots? Drag Queens and a lot of them were BLACK. So don't say that gay rights is a white thing because it's not. Because I'm about to sit here and educate a number of you regarding Gay and trans rights and the struggle that still continues today. As someone who has been bashed due to being gay, I refuse to sit here and ignore some of the ignorance that is being put throughout this fucking thread. Gay and trans people have suffered just like black people. Did some of you dumbasses know that until 1973 Homosexuality was listed as a mental disorder in the DSM? Lots of gay and trans people were put into mental institutions and subjected to horrible forms of therapy. Gay people were even arrested for just being gay. Hence sodomy laws that were in tact until 2001. I know first hand what it felt like to be arrested for being gay because I was when I was 18 years old. Gay and trans people were beaten, murdered, raped for being who they were. To name a few names that most of you should know of: Matthew Shepard a 21 year old gay man who was murdered in 1998 (The play The Laramie Project is based on his murder) and Brandon Teena a 21 year old transman from Nebraska who was murdered almost 23 years ago (The movie Boys Don't Cry starring Hilary Swank was based on his life) research those two names alone and you'll understand the plight of what gay and trans people have gone through and that's just in the past 20 years alone. This type of injustice has gone on for decades and not to mention the gay and trans people of color who have been murdered alone whom the media never really talks about because the family doesn't want the world to know that their loved one was gay or trans. So before you fix your mouth to say something is disgusting, I suggest you do some research and look and see what gays and trans people have been subjected to throughout history. Just like the fool who is the big orange man's right hand man supports conversion therapy for gay and trans people. Just a bit of education for a lot of you.
