The control she exercises with her voice is simply unparalleled. This is the nuance that India was talking about that separates good singing from GREAT singing. It's really the little things she does that make her voice so BIG.
Some folks will never understand! The way how she cut her notes off at the end of her phrases...that's decrescendo. Brandy knows how to effectively use dynamics to create sick ass vocal arrangements. Some singers hit high notes or run because it sounds good. Brandy does things because she intends to as she's so calculated and precise with her vocals but not to the point of sounding forced or lacking emotion.
