I never really got classy professional etc from Gina or Penny nor did I think about Pam & Dijonay being unruly ghetto whatever. I just watched and enjoyed the show.

Nia & Paula are pretty much the same complexion but they both played these roles in Friday.

I see penny & Dijonnay as ghetto and Gina as professional

Wasn't she a top business gorl?
Gina and Pam worked at a marketing firm I believe

there are a few exceptions to the rule...but the black men I've had to read for putting dark skinned women down, usually cite these tropes

BAPHOMET.

Whitney was the main in the Bodyguard and her light-skinned sister tried to sleep with her man
and ended up getting killed
I think there are exceptions to the rule but an exception isnt the RULE. The fact that u can pick out moments in time where it went against the grain is evident of how rare it is. I think the majority of the time it's this way. When u reach a certain level of stardom u transcend certain things. That was Whitney, I think
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

I can't remember but she didn't give me high society and elite teas. And I always thought Pam was just funny.
Gina didnt give high elite, she came across as sweeter and the likeable one for men

You may have to zoom in to read. Of course I'm aware of colorist in our community, but this is still kind of an eye opener for me.

This is dumb

These same tropes are in white comedies as well.

The main girls sidekick is always the complete opposite of her and is usually more brash

Gilgamesh.

This is why Insecure is so ground breaking.
