I wouldn't necessarily compare it to "co workers at a holiday party". Tamar didn't have to invite Brandy, just like she didn't invite the girls from The Real, Toya, Monica, or K Michelle. Only guests that she felt comfortable with and wanted. And I only have that fantasy because I hung out with Bran for 3 days in Maryland (thanks to Nana, but that's another discussion) so I have a slight sense of her personality
