Listening to her singing - especially that first clip you posted, it doesn't even sound like she was heavily influenced by Country to me.

Country not only has a sound instrumentally but vocally as well. I don't hear it on her.

They tried to use that on the show as a means to garner more votes coupled with the sob story but it didn?t work.
