I don't see this as homophobic. It's strictly a ladies night event, and I'm sure most of the dancers wouldn't be comfortable dancing for men.

I have to disagree with that last part. Lots of straight men dance in gay clubs/gogo mess out. Everybody knows fags will toss the most coin

:takeallofme:

And do a lot more than dancing for the right coin.
Anyway, I don't think this is homophobic. But dead the gerls are READY this year :plzstop:

Her "hell no" was a bit much tho

This was the problem and weird that the girls are overlooking that.

It's unconditional, these days you know....

At the end of the day gays have to stop looking for inclusion and acceptance and learn to love themselves more. I am looking at the shaderoom comments and everyone is saying how "sensitive" gays are.
n

I mean, they give them reason to be sensitive more often than not. These little examples of overreaction don't change that

Anytime I read comment like this I just replace "Gay" with "Black" and think what the reaction would be if some flop white actress said said "hell nah! no niggaz!"?  :plzstop: There would be outrage. So it's not really about being sensitive.

SouravMay

In this scenario gay and Black are not perfectly analogue. Because we have the aspect of gender in it as well. It's not only the straight (white) vs. gay (black) dynamic but also male vs female. And as a marginalized part of the female demographic she doesn't necessarily want men, who rule everything.

It's like a black person saying they don't want whites to participate. It is still crass but not as strongly I think.
