And another fucking thing. I'm so over this "alternative" R&B mess and these exaggerated accents and tones. Singing about NOTHING. It's LATE.

omg I just tweeted this todayyyyy. I was trying to make a playlist for a show I was doing and wanted to us only R&B from this year or late last year and the genre is so alternative and left sounding now. These ugly ass accents and tones, dark monotonous drake ass production, trap drums. Lyrics all symbolic and ambiguous and production all unstructured.

Like what happened to a simple melody and chorus lmfaooo   :plzstop: What happened to a radio friendly generic yet soulful production a la Darkchild  :plzstop:

I HATE sounding like a late and dusty gorl, but sometimes I'm just this sucks

There are some gems still out there though! Enjoyed some tracks on Syd's album

!!!!!! Gorl these "R&B playlists"... all dark, slow and Pseudo-artsy...

:mmyulost:

5-6 ago this would be a spinoff obscure playlist mess, but now that's what R&B actually sounds like.

!!!!!!!!!!!! To everything yall just said. Its so corny and contrived at this point. I'm over it. Music is at the point where Hip Hop has been my favorite genre for the past 5 years. Pop has been even worse.

These hip hop niggers are more CUNT and doing R&B better than the R&B gorls...
