They were ALL pitchy back then, those creole squalls and hyper messy runs Bey was doing wasn't special
It's been documented that Toya was Bey's vocal competition at that age
But what do you expect to happen to a kid when Bey's father puts her in the back and refuses to let her really sing?
Letoya's work since DC has proven she had the voice
LaTavia didn't, so why would she have been featured more vocally than Toya?
And LeToya and Mabel are equal vocally with Mabel having a bit more versatility and Toya having more raw belting power. If Toya can sing what Tank tells her too, then she could've been on the top or bottom of those harmonies easily drowning out Kelly
Matthew is so dead wrong, she's a good woman for forgiving him and Bey tbh
