I just realized her Afro era is awkward is fuck.

What did they have my Queen doing. These heavenly divine vocals mixed with these Danity Kane choreography, that light brown wig, and her skinny ass body...

I am glad she left that shit behind. If only she had a better style/artistic team around her. With that voice she'd be a Goddess.

:plzstop: :plzstop: :plzstop:

That era was a mess.
From the outfits..the lipping...the wigs...all of it. The only thing that was good was the music.

That has been Brandy's issue ever since. There's always one thing that goes right and the rest seems thrown together.

u can just feel she is uncomfortable in every fiber of her body... nnn Sonja shoulda scrapped this mess and revamped the era.

:hmph: :hmph: :hmph:

It seems she's been afraid to take a chance when it comes to her performances and her fashion.

If she got it all right for a complete era, it'd be nice. She always seems lost inside of her own head when it comes to executing her eras live. I love her voice but she hasn't always been stellar live vocally either. It's like in the past she has been so timid. I'm glad she's shed tha "I'm more comfortable in the studio" thing.

At this point, it's like come with it or let it go. No more half stepping.

Brandy is not an all around ARTISTE, which barely anyone is tbh except maybe Bert or Prince, she is a stellar vocal arranger and vocalist with a beautiful face and body. All other rappers or big singers like Madonna, Beyonc? hire people who are younger and more creative and have more time to take of all that other hoopla. Drop frank gatson corny self and pick up some of your female stans from tumblr and let them spearhead your next songs. Drake, Jay-z, Kanye do it too. I see no shame in it. I just wish Jazmine, Jhen?, or better yet some unknown amazing black female could help bran out. A hungry new girl with lots of creativity.

I hate her stage set-ups, her clothes, her wishy-washy personality which seems to be on one lately. One minute it's "I'm the shit", then she's afraid to walk a damn red carpet.

I don't understand.
idk. I mean, u can be confident vocally and as an artist and not comfortable with ur sexuality or feeling sexy

Could be confidence issues in different areas that fluctuate, but I understand what ur saying
That's true but Brandy puts on a lot. And isn't consistent. She sends mixed signals.

Brandy doesn't dress like Naomi or dance like Janet
But her vocals ARE what makes her an artiste
Her runs, riffs, harmonies, inflections are unmatched and the fact that she evolves vocally every era like how Madonna or Rihanna may evolve visually, proves that.
Let's not get too carried away now

I get that. But part of me feels that if that is going to be your thing, hire a band, some background singers and stand at the mic and deliver a complete live vocal.

Brandy was one of the first artists I loved so I can drag if I want
:ohwow:

I just really haven't been interested in a while. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older or if she's just been making late ass career decisions that I don't agree with. Probably both.

I hate her stage set-ups, her clothes, her wishy-washy personality which seems to be on one lately. One minute it's "I'm the shit", then she's afraid to walk a damn red carpet.

u said u don't like her music, when afro and fm are maybe the best R&B albums ever made. All I am saying she is neither a crazy writer or incredibly creative from what I have seen.

:mmywheresddy: :mmywheresddy:

I mean she herself said she does not trust her writing. And nothing wrong with that. Just hire bitched to do it for you, you are BRANDY.

no i said I liked her voice more than her music

Bran has said time and time again that she doesn't dance like Jan's or is into aesthetic like the Rihanna's however she has own style, but Bran lacks execution. If she created a team who could execute her uniqueness (aesthetic, choreo, etc.) in a way that's true to her, she'd annihilate.
