I'll give an example.

My cousin is married to a white man. Not just a white man, but a white man in the army.
The sense of power and legitimacy her family feels whenever they are with him is palpable.

You can just see it. This in spite of that fact that her family is very wealthy and his is not.
Their wealth doesn't give them any security--apart from material possessions.
It doesn't make them feel safe.

His whiteness, his inherent "Americanness", does.

The way I see it: You fall in love and connect with whoever you connect with. Race shouldn't matter. If a black man falls in love with a white woman or a white man falling love with a black woman and vice versa, it shouldn't matter and shouldn't be an issue. I really don't get why people get so uptight about stuff like this. I mean I've dated guys of different racial and ethnic backgrounds. There are many different forms of connection (mentally emotionally, spiritually, sexually, etc.) that draws two people together. I respect people for being with they're with. It's not my place to judge either. smh

!!!!
let people love who they wanna love, why is this still an issue in 2017?
Im sorry but I'm SHAKING  :plzstop:
is this still supposed to be their choice
Yea, im sure it's a much bigger conspiracy behind it, Illuminati even. Like who cares about who these people choose to date :dead:
And because they're with white women now, is that supposed to be indicative of every relationship they've ever had? Michael Jordan was married to a black women for about 10+ yrs. Does he need to only date blk women to qualify for some blk award or sumn. Like :dead: with a bit of :uhh:

Like, I cant.
the gorls will make this same thread multiple times and nothing changes, nothing will change
I dont get the obsession with calling interracial couples out...they're not going anywhere

if they're happy, not hurting anyone...what's the issue?

Like you said, he/she doesn't even have to be wealthy

Key & Peele (Peele just made Get Out mind you) are bi-racial
Michael was married to Juanita for YEARS during his basketball career before he got with this girl

I can see the biracial thing being how they grew up. Similar to why the biracial ppl get in a tizzy when a subject like this is brought up-no disrespect.

So you think it's coincidental?
I just think these are bad examples
Kanye & Kim
or Tyrese & his new wife are better examples

FUCK Bey

Definitely not a coincidence, HERE at least.

Like someone touched on, there's this ideology of "ultimate" success and acceptance for a lot of black men when they wife up a white womuh. Just like how every stereotypical successful black male has to run out and get a Mercedes. :dead: In their minds, having that white woman on their arm is like a sign of conformity to white culture.

But this DEFINITELY doesn't apply to all interracial relationships.

yall be so concerned about who's in who's bed

let them be happy.
didn't you recently post a video about if koreans were interested in dating blacks?
Why should we care

what does that have to do with anything
and how is that comparable to the topic at hand?

that thread i made and this one are two completely different things.

I don't see this for alot of blk people tho.  I think those groups that long for that acceptance from white people are more susceptible to this, like Asians n mess :dead:
Not saying u don't have blk people that don't have that mindset but i don't think it's as prevalent in our group.  Blk people are quicker to sideeye for dating a white person rather than applauding u. Like Jordan Peele just wrote and directed a whole movie (Get Out) on race relations n shit. I don't think him being with a white woman is anything other than that's who tf he's with right now.
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

I think once you reach a certain level of success and enter a certain social class you won't find many black girls to interact with anymore. Don't know
I kinda agree there's way more rich white ppl overall than Black
so Im unless its fans at a club or something, most women these guys run into are white

most of these women (and Im not talking about specifically the ones in the op) are not or were not Martha Stewarts and Kelly Ripas before.

How do you explain the white women that have gotten with ballers and rappers? They were no diff from the black girls.
Black women are up there in college getting degrees before everydamnbody.
they dont have to be Kelly or Martha
they're more Paris & Nicole Hilton most likely, born & raised rich, so they're able to go the big, A-list Black tie events and meet these guys
Black women have to also be a celeb, through hard work and talent to get the types of opportunities these plain Jane white girls get

!!!!! I'm cackling at them and the way they're acting. They act just like the black people that like to call people that use proper english "uncle toms" or say that they want to be white because of the way they speak. I know it all too well because my family still tries it with me because I use proper english. I've never spoken ebonics and I'm not going to start doing it. smh
