Why doesn't the government do something about these cops? This whole gun industry is crazy in the US, everyone's walking around with guns. Cops are very quick to pull a gun out. I know here in the Netherlands everytime there is an incident where cops have to shoot to protect themselves it's everywhere in the news and people will start asking questions. If something sketchy is going on the cop won't be able to work and everything will be researched. Last time they used too much force on this guy (they say on top of this one guy and he died), those cops won't get away with it. Of course some cops are still out of line every now and then (especially when there are big crowds they start hitting everyone black and white), but if someone gets shot without a valid reason there will be serious consequences for the cop.
So yes of course the whole mentality has to change, but politicians should so something about it too.
