and guys, it's not uncommon for people to become heavily intrigued in genealogical research once they get started.
trust me, once you do your kits you will want more answers.

and that's not a bad thing. at all.

However, I am very satisfied with my results and think
I got my big break last night with the unlocking of my African tribe heritage and specific Native heritage. Those two were most important to me. And I got it.

So you probably won't be hearing about DNA from me for a while.


Can't wait til some of you guys start doing your tests. It'll be nice to revisit the conversation.

There's also a block feature which comes in handy when I'd prefer not to subscribe to what I'd consider to be rambling from a member.

and come back and tell me what they say

start with AncestryDNA. order the kit, Send in the sample of your saliva
and they'll break your DNA down and get to to the bottom of the tea
however, I'd also suggest uploading your raw DNA (which Ancestry provides to u)
to GEDMatch and FamilytreeDNA as well. to compare the results.

i wouldn't recommend just taking the first mess and running with it.
kinda like getting a second opinion from a doctor. I did all three.

GEDMatch is the most specific. that is the site which pinpointed which tribe I descended from, as well as my specific African origins. (the results i posted on the fitst page are from GED)
i'm still amazed at the accuracy. start with Ancestry first tho, GEDMatch is free, but u must
have the raw DNA file to upload.
