If he was a grown man payin his own bills then this would be a non issue, but the fact remains that he will most likely be layed up in his momma's house this summer so really he should be keeping it cute.  Why set yourself up for failure when you don't have to??  My parents made me cut my dreadlocks when I was about to graduate college and while I was mad in the moment, I had to prioritize.  Would I rather work two jobs, rack up credit card debt, and drop out of school for my principals?  Or would I rather appease them for a yr or two while taking advantage of their resources and setting myself up to be financially stable, allowing me to do whatever the fuk I want with my hair without repercussion?

I'd sacrifice some hair and makeup for a struggle free transition into independence any day!
