But in all fairness this is my first time seeing any of the alien movies so alot of it didn't make sense

You jumped in at the wrong time

There are 4 main alien movies

2 spin offs (alien vs predator)

And 2 prequels

You couldn't have picked the worst time to get in

Because honestly the movie isn't a great standalone film

I saw it yesterday and it was pretty darn good. The action scenes especially.

And I loved the ending
