His last album was the most overrated album in a long time. Although it was nice to not see a MAJOR artist get such hype. But when I finally listened, I couldn't bare to sit through the whole thing. I'm so uninterested in this guy, that I probably won't even listen to this. I'm also quite shocked to see them try "oh!! Surprise release!!" with him considering he isn't a big name...

I think after the response to the singles was so lukewarm, they deciddd to just throw the album out.  It was the only way to get buzz.  Social media will still pretend to be excited about surprise releases even if you're a C-List star.
