I'm on their side with everything BUT getting paid to go promote that movie. Absolutely not

If no one else does, then why should we make you any more special? It's my understanding that they were at least being flown out there and given hotel accommodations, so for that to not be good enough is kinda strange

Some people associate being loud and opinionated with ghettoness when it comes to black people--especially dark skin black people. If I am not mistaken, Adrienne is a big fan of Ms. Cardi B....but she's not boisterous huh? You love this behavior from her, but see it as something else in monique. People see color and their own prejudice perceptions before they see ppl

In her defense, whether she promoted or not, Precious becamee a blockbuster film.  And did better than they ever thought it would.  But I suppose that isn't the point.  That's the only part I side eye her for.

She didnt fly out of the country to promote it without proper compensation
She only got 50 thousand for the movie
And as big as it got there definetly shouldve been more accomodations for monique
But clearly they werent serious about it cause they didnt make it happen with a good offfer

And then to launch a smear campaign cause she declined an out of pocket promo stop for a film she was super under paid for anyway is horseshit

yea they were wrong for that as well, but she should've made sure that her contract would see a significant amount of increase, should the movie reach a certain amount of success. That's just bad business on her and her husbands part
