It's a two way street.

Both groups treat each other like shit.

I definitely agree, AA's think Africans are uptight, bougi?, rude and I think it's because Africans come over and see all the opportunities that are wasted and all the oppurtunities they didn't have and waste no time getting to work. Africans also can be seen as judgemental because their culture and tradition holds them to high standards. But then also at the same time a lot of Africans have been fed a narrative that A.As are ghetto, aggressive and uncultured, but on the flipside A.A's see Africans as primitive beings still living in mud huts swatting away flies half the day.
That's there the disconnect is.

Hardly a west African I know will face scrutiny for marrying or dating a white person. Especially those living in Africa have a very very good image of Europeans.

"Tribe" is such a stupid terminology.

And Nigerians in the USA are from completely different socio-economic backgrounds than majority of Nigerians and those in Europe.

In the U.S. they (Igbos/Nigerians) are the academically most successful and educated demographic group. They tend to be richer than the average joe and have more respected professions. Those are not the Nigerians that I know, nor the majority.

The Nigerians that make it to the U.K. and USA are education and money wise the top of their crop. Nigerians in Germany and other non-immigrant nations are mostly asylum seekers and come from the working class and lower.
