But her voice was in peak condition when she first debuted.  There was a lightness, ethereal quality that gradually because heavier, more soulful power as she smoked more cigs.

Her voice started to fade quickly, too.  Like Whitney, the purity in their voices is never better than on the debut.  Good thing she recorded Vision of Love then.  Her good vocal performances are the curly-haired days.  MAYBE include the Emotions era.


They were just so good that they still slayed even after their vocal peaks.
