The article clearly states that he was with THREE friends and they said he didn't start the fight and that they didn't even talk to the people. If you're not versed in the story and didn't read the article then maybe you shouldn't try to correct people.

All I said was "his friends weren't there at that exact time," you quoted and corrected me then got bent out of shape. If his friends were there and watched the whole thing then just say that. That wasn't what I gathered from the articles I read..

There is no if, they literally said that he wasn't the one who started the fight, so they were clearly there...

That's not definitive. His friends could have gotten the story from other people who were at the bar. It doesn't specify if they were there. In the news story I read, it said his friends weren't there..
