Speaking of perms,
how many times do you have to get a perm before it really settles?

You put it in once. The longer it stays, the straighter the hair. Starting from 10 minutes up to 25 minutes. I had it in too long a few times, and my hair was bone straight. I would rather recommend to lightly texturize it, it will leave more life in your hair.

I didn't have a good perm or maybe the ends were not moisturized the point is, it goes better with less Afrocentric features. If you have a more racially mixed look you can pull off more different hairstyles without it being painfully obvious and looking off. Kinky hair looks right on my head, the same way curly hair does.

I was speaking in general. Go with looks that could be authentic to your features. That goes for anything.

Yeah I cut my mess off, cause it was DEAD. I don't know if I will let it grow naturally though. My hair is 4c, which means I have to super patient to grow it out and I can't do anything with it in between. I would love a big afro, but the in-between stage just isn't cute.
