But the way that the hands are clenching the red bars, it's a jab at the prison system to me.

A lot of artists use "Black" color to represent Black/AA people and "Brown" to represent people of color who aren't African American.

This is how I see it at least. That's the great thing about art - we could be all be looking at the same drawing and draw our own artistic conclusion.

Pretty sure it represents struggle as a whole. If you break down by race, a good percentage of people of color are incarcerated but the majority of inmates in America are white..

When it's broken down by race AA men have the highest percentage of our men behind bars and Hispanic men are not far behind.

The fact that AA men have the highest percentage but are a minority is the huge problem. It's not so much a sheer comparison of sums.
