My boyfriend's father lives in San Juan.  He called him early this morning, and Puerto Rico is in such a state of emergency.  Everyone was kinda terrified.  The power was out on half of the island before Irma even hit.  That's how severe this is.

I guess Irma has hit there now.  And now, he hasn't been able to reach his father.  Apparently, people are expected to be out of power for 3-4 months. 

It's really fucked up.
