Apparently, the biggest rap station in Houston, 97.9 The Box, banned Trae's music.  There was a shooting during his Trae Day festival.  And he caught a lot of shit in the city for it, because the mayor of Houston named the day after him.  Somewhere down the line, I guess the radio station execs were refusing to play his music due to advertisers threatening to pull.  Trae called one of the radio execs a "fat ass" or some mess in one of his records.

They haven't played his music since.   And Trae took or has threatened to take legal action against the station.

So, fast forward to now.....  Trae was one of the key organizers that helped Beyonce put on her charity event yesterday in Houston.  And TI and Charlemagne apparently think them mentioning her without mentioning Trae is shade.

But I just don't see it that way.

And I agree with Von that it's really bullshit to DEMAND recognition for charity.  Of course they were going to post about the biggest star from Houston actually being IN Houston.

This is a mess, tbh.
