i consider conditioning and styling products to be chemical processing as well
my father thinks the same. lol

But chemical processing , by definition, is actually using products like relaxer, etc. which will actually CHANGE the texture of hair.

Conditioner and styling product simply defines what you already have. And makes sure you're not walking out of the house looking like you have a dry piece of mess atop of your head.

Some people think that conditioners and styling products can "change" your hair. It cannot. Which is why when people watch those "curly girl routines" and mess on Youtube, thinking they can just wet their hair, put some gel in it and get the same mess...end up disappointed. lol.

he was like "is there anything other than water in this? then its fucking CHEMICALS! :fuming: "

me and my aunt were like :udontlookok:

but he just wanted to be right. my aunt corrected him on what chemical processing is and he decided to get ultra specific. :dead: :dead:

Deep conditioner should only be done once in a while....

Regular conditioning is fine. What kind you'd need all depends on your hair type....some people hate the whole 1,2,3,4 typing system because they feel its divisive but its actually very helpful.

But there are other factors which are important when choosing a product, such as the density of your hair. (how thick it is), etc. it's not all about "type". some people do get too wrapped up in that. and up with a birds nest on their head :udontlookok:

What is your routine now?

Young

See I consider flat ironing to still be natural because it can instantly revert back to its natural texture when wet. It's doesn't chemically alter the texture it just flatten and straightens out the curls temporarily.

With me for example there are days when I don't feel like dealing with my thick curls.
Sometimes after I wash and condition it, I blow it out, then I separate it into parts, comb and oil each piece and wrap/twist it up over night and it's soooo cute and soft.
It's just in a more "pulled" state. But if I wet it it would go right back.

To me perms and texturizers are not natural.

Just Dropped In To See What Condition My Condition Was In

I use natural products like coconut oil in my hair.
I am scarred, so fucking scarred
These are the scars of me
The very fucking scars of me
This is my tragic heart
