If she didn't conduct herself like a rapper - popping shit all the time about numbers and how K. Michelle didn't have a right to speak to her because of her first week sales and mess....I believe the gorls would be a lot more forgiving and understanding.
Toni will flop to the pits of hell, but she'll do it quietly and no one will care because she carries herself in a way that makes you not even look into it.
Exactly.
And honestly, I don't think being #1 on the Independent Album Chart is necessarily proof of success. We set the bar so low for independent artists and albums and automatically assume everything they do is a success, because it's "independent! own money!". That's not true. Who knows how much the project actually cost her. She could have easily lost money or broke even. I'm sure in a quiet week, you can sell 3,000 copies and be #1 on the Independent Album Chart.

Being independent is a choice, and if your project is not garnering critical acclaim, winning awards or really connecting with the public, it's a FLOP. Period. The rules don't change because you CHOSE to go independent.
Tamar is picking up any straw she can to avoid facing this L. Because that's her personality.
The album sucked. And she won't even sell 50,000 copies when it's all said and done.
