Since I am already mixed, the mother can't be full anything, otherwise she would overshadow what I bring to the table. Also my baby must come out looking like it can blend into the black world.
I'm thinking mom could be half indian, half black latino.
Can't have no Rashida Jones looking mess.

nnnn
My grandmother is light skinned and is of mixed race, but my mother came out giving her a dark skinned exotic book owt. But she took more after my great grandmother. my grandmother describes her mother simply as a beautiful black woman. smooth dark skin with beautiful hair. which is why I laugh when people have stereotypes of what natives should look like.
Then my aunt (moms sis) came out light as fuck. Freckles and all.

But she doesn't have the "good hair". her complexion caused a bit of controversy though, as you can see my grandfather is not light. he side eyed my grandmother just a bit when my auntie was born.

his family tried to start some mess. they questioned how my aunt could be
that light when only one of her parents were truly light skinned.

But look at Beyonce. Her father is way darker than my grandfather, but that Creole blood in her maternal family is strong as fuck.

it's amazing tbh.
Then my uncle was born.....darker skinned with soft hair. He looks a lot like my great grandmother.
The point is....DNA is very unpredictable, and sporadic.
We can't "build a baby" , as much as we'd wish we could.
But it's OK to have wishful thinking.
