She's so right tho. Now I love Cardi and it's cute to compare for fun but there is no comparison. Both very talented but they are not equals.

Oh wow. I'm here for this maturity.
:ohwow:
Buuuuut...
:butwait!:

Nicki brought a lot of the backlash she?s receiving upon herself. Had she embraced Remy and Cardi instead of trying to sabotage their careers, people would have a lot more respect for 2017 Nicki..

This is a lie tho.

She's supported many female rappers throughout her career. She's collabed with Trina like twice already, and another collab is on the way. Dej Loaf opened for Nicki on the last tour. Nicki brought out Foxy during her Pepsi concert and is friends with her. She's given props to Kim on numerous occassions yet Kim is still bitter. She also wanted to collab with Remy on The Pinkprint on a song with Foxy but it didn't happen because Remy and Foxy have beef.

The problem has never been Nicki. The problem is the general public and black community always pitting two female rappers together and only supporting one because apparently there can only be one female rapper on top.

I hate how she only sheds light on issues when she's personally affected
this is my biggest issue with my sis

I think a lot of people do that, though. That's just real - not everyone is going to cape and care about something that they don't feel affected by.

We're just so used to everyone being an activist and social warriors and mess that the concept of selfishness seems to be a thing of the past. We gotta make up our mind about whether we want to see people pretend like they care about mess and give the gorls faux outrage - or see someone being human and talking on what they feel has affected them personally.

I just don't like that she's making this a gender issue.

"A man would never have to deal with these comparisons!"

Men deal with it all the time.  Especially in hip hop.  It's just the competitive nature of the genre.

Is Drake the new King?  Is Kendrick a better rapper than Jay?  Did Big Sean steal his flow from Luda... etc.  Cardi being compared to Nicki or whoever else is just how music is.

I think Nicki just gets upset about stuff and victimizes herself to express what she's feeling.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right.

Like women are the only ones that's constantly compared. Come on now.

Exactly.  And Nicki has literally ran female rap for the last decade.  I mean, it only makes sense everyone would compare the new females to her.

They do it to Beyonc? with every new female artist from Tinashe to Rihanna.

And they did it in sports to Jordan and Kobe too.

That's what happens when you're at the top and the new kittens come in for that fresh milk.

It's not a gender thing.
so Nicki is at the top

Nicki's been at the top since Pink Friday.

Cardi might have gotten the #1, but the challenge for Cardi is to now turn this into a career.

2017 wasn't a great year for Nicki, but I'm waiting on her album and/or more solo music to really assess the situation.

But yeah I think it's natural for people to care about what clearly affects them. Especially when it hits home directly.

The gorls expect everyone to be some activist mess, but then complain when everyone IS on some activist mess.  :plzstop:

First of all, Jay is old and past his lyrical prime and Kanye is just a woke geek version of dr dre :dead:

She never went up with real lyrical juggernauts
