North Korea's not stupid though.

They're not even in the position to engage in nuclear war with the states.

They haven't even successfully tested launching an ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missile) WITH a nuclear bomb attached.

They've only tested them separately. So they don't even know that if they were to get stupid and launch some mess like that us, if it would even succeed. Then, it would be game over for them for even trying it 

What Trump is trying to do is stop them from GETTING to the point where they have successfully passed launching an ICBM with a nuke attached into water somewhere. So he's getting sanctions thrown on them, threatening them. Doing whatever he can without pushing buttons to get mess started. I'm here for that. Keep those chinks in their place

The only way he'd really be testing them is actually firing a missile over there. That's the only way I'd see them really moving to defend themselves. And South Korea would be more likely to get hit first in retaliation. Guam second.
