I mean, Mon definitely has an old school mentality.

Back in the day men would cheat all the time. The wives would just turn their heads and keep tending to the house & kids. Dinner would be on the table hot & waiting for him when he came in from slaying Doris or Beatrice.

It's sad, but that shit has been passed down. Hell, a lot of those men back in the day had a whole different family.

Well being grounded in the Word would imply that you follow its rules and adopt its principles. Thou shall not cheat being one of them.

That's not really how a lot of church women operate. Christians pick n choose what they will follow all the time and a blind eye is definitely turned.

Well we're discussing the Word of God, not a case by case basis.
And from my experience, the Ten Commandments is something which is highly upheld in the church.

Well from MY experience I just don't agree. I've talked to females who are cheated on and ask why they stay. They do what Christians do. regurgitate scripture n commandments, using it out of context and applying it to their situation. They only time Christians are so devout and sticklers for the rules are when they are pointing the finger at others

Basically and she isn't going anywhere because she loves the status of being a wife. People like Monica have no problem keeping a man because they tolerate a lot of shit. A lot of people are single because they have high expectations when it comes to fidelity and won't put up with that shit. If she accepts that her man cheats let her it's not or business or place to tell her she should leave him.

Up until this point, we only have evidence that cheating may be occurring. What evidence do we have that Monica supports infidelity? If anything her close ties to biblical scripture would leave room to assume the opposite.

The 'scandal' is charged by hate and envy. Right now she's got an energy and glow which is starting to make people envious. betterwiseup even said he's tired of Mon putting on a happy home front, hence assisting in exposing the mess. The hate is apparent and it's really sad.

My grandmother wasn't having it. Maybe that's why I view these things this way.
She is a woman who believes that her husband is well....hers.
So I can't agree all women "back in the day" developed or encouraged this type of thinking.

If anything I'd agree that the old school mentality is that the man goes out and takes care of his FAMILY financially, while the woman tends to the kids and house.
Now that is something that I know was very popular and is also a way that my grandparents operated.
