I always say shop based on your salary

And most landlords will check anyway.

You won't be making 20K a year tryna move into an apartment for 3K a month. They'll want receipts of your salary - paystubs, etc.

Nike Suit, Apple & Co. will happily allow you to live beyond your means but landlords will put a stop sign with the quickness.

Orlando is great but it's very commercial as it's the biggest tourist city in the us

When I was living in Brooklyn there was a park right next to me - one day I decided to walk on the other side of the park and ended up across the street from the fucking projects. I fucking panicked.ssf

My coworkers live in harlem and pay crazy money - didn't have gas for months

And talk about not having hot water off and on like it's fucking normal and something you can get used to.

And the infestation in Manhattan is gross 

There's no reason I'd should be paying nearly two grand a month and have to deal with no hot water and Stuart Little perching in my damn cabinets

For the people in here who are students and live in an apartment, why don't y'all just live with your parents? I'm in 3rd year university rn and I live with my parents.

It just doesn't seem plausible how some of y'all are students yet are paying thousands of dollars a month for rent. I've also heard about how tuition is extremely expensive but I've always wondered how much?

Here where I live, I pay around $8,000 a year for my tuition (that's before my scholarship deducts the price). That number gets rounded up to $10,000 once you include textbooks, bus pass, etc.

The fact that some of y'alls 3-month rent is equivalent to my yearly tuition is kinda scary
