I don't think the industry respects ci but I think the ppl do

Everyone loves ciara tbh

I'm not 100% sure the industry DOESN'T respect Ci. 

I feel like Ciara is somewhere in the middle for the public and the industry.

Because if it's the latter then yeah, Madonna DEFINITELY is not respected. Everyone thinks she's try hard and attention seeking these days (and I say that as a fan).

I feel like Madonna and Britney?s respect are similar
neither of them are great musicians. They have good performances with
lights, pre-recorded tracks, dancers, pyro etc

Madonna kinda pushed the envelope and did a lot for women. And Madonna is a good songwriter and has a hand in everything she does. She just can't sing.

I wonder why Taylor Swift is so respected.  I was going to ask if she was, but then I thought about how many people I've seen praise her songwriting.  From fans and non-fans.

And then I feel out of the loop, because her songwriting is not all that.  Her music is basic.  And she can't sing.  And she ain't even that cute.

I just don't get the whole Taylor thing.
