so touring & getting "hits" and plaques, but still not getting ppl to buy the entire ALBUM says a lot
Ashanti selling more with her own label says she at least has a loyal fanbase

Both are flopping so it doesnt really make a difference

Difference is Ashanti might sell a few more copies but it makes no matter because her numbers are still terrible


Ciaras numbers are bad too but it doesnt really seem like shes been flopping because she still manages to get hits, certified singles and perform at award shows

the stuff you're naming isn't based off of Ciara's relevance or demand
performing on award shows and getting "hits" (which tbh is giving her a lot)
is a function of the label paying for her
and it's not more beneficial because she has to pay them back first before making money
whereas Ashanti IS the label she makes her own money back
and she writes all her music so she gets royalties back from that too
