why can?t the family throw them a barbecue?

dont people usually get LIFE or whatever for those types of crimes?

How does not throwing a bbq for a convict coming out of jail for some bullshit they had no business doing in the first place equate to a family disowning them?

If my brother shot and stabbed someone I wouldn't throw him a party when he got out. He shouldn't have done it in the first place.
