Sorry but Talisa lit that lightbulb in my head and that is EXACTLY her issue.  Alot of her music is generic and she doesn't have that special THING that she brings to a track. That's why she's been bouncing around all these yrs. She's looking to find IT! I think whatever she has tho,  it's best displayed in songs like Body Party. That's the sound she should be doing. When she gets on that Got me Good wave she literally could be ANY random girl singing that song

If you know what shes experienced personally, you'd know how every song/album title/concept relates to her

While she may have not expressed that publicly, if you put 2 &n 2 together, its easy to understand

No one else could've given these songs that special touch but Ci. She's just a true chameleon on record, so it comes off as inconsistent or coy. But she has experimented with approaching music in so many ways.

I do think she needs to find a central tone that is recognizable. She went from cooing on Goodies to humming on 1, 2 Step and Oh. She's had conflicting tones that didn't allow the GP to put her in a box. I think the vocal levels of songs like Read My Lips, Body Party, Like a Boy, and Wants for Dinner express the unique aspects of her voice, and don't sound too different from one another to where you're left wondering if they're all sung by the same artist. But I've always known this is where she disconnects

I didn't say anything about not having heard all her songs. I would never claim to have heard all her songs. Ion like her like that 
What I have heard is her discography. I was calling her a pop girl because I feel that's what she wants so desperately to be and her most recent work is a (terrible) pop album. U were saying she wasn't and I didn't know her discography enough to judge. I never said she didn't do other kinds of music.  We were introduced to her doing crunk n B( corny ass title for a genre) but it's pretty evident the girl wants to be this generic ass pop girl which is essentially what I was saying

Yeah, I mean, the difference between Ciara and Rihanna is that the latter is more in your face about her sound.

Ciara is largely a nuanced artist, so if you don't pay attention to the little additives, you might miss them

Yea I'm really disappointed that she didn't come right BACK with a GODly Party pt.2. She honestly STARTED that 90s trend... she finally found something that worked, idk y she wouldn't stick to it.

And honestly, Im still kinda shocked that I'm Out flopped. I thought it was gonna be a MASSIVE hit. Her comeback. It kinda pisses me off because I feel like she brought GREASE back, not Bey. It was ahead of its time...I think if she would've dropped it during the Jackie era, it would've been a huge hit. The gorls weren't quite ready for that level of GREASE again yet.
