i mean... slay...
but it's no accomplishment if she's marrying for love and it doesn't change how blacks are perceived in the world.
we gotta stop seeking white approval.
:usuresis:

Not seeing how any of this correlates to wanting white approval.

I've seen a lot of people on social media yelling about how iconic and amazing this is for black people for some mixed woman to be marrying into a royal family, as if marrying into some outdated institution riddled with incest, infidelity and all around MESS is something to drool over.

It all just seems kinda...desperate.

it's just a marriage...
black women get married to white men all the time.
why EXACTLY are we excited that a black woman is marrying into the royal family?

This woman is dam near white passing. Plzzz stop calling her a black womuh

Biracial wins are not a ?win? for black people, and something tells me that she pays dust to black issues

Wouldn?t be surprised if this woman?s DNA broke Down to a 70% euro 30 % Afro tea

Can?t agree with you.

The way the media is constantly discussing her blackness, investigating her background saying she?s ?almost Straight Outta Compton?, making out her parents were some earthy hippies,  Leaking details from her past, etc. They?ve been doing it since they started dating to try and destroy her character. Just like they do with black people.

So it doesn?t matter what YOU perceive as being black. You?re making assumptions about her too, which is just as ignorant.
!!!!!!!!
This girl has been getting attacked every since they started dating

From what I?ve seen the media is calling her biracial. Which is correct.

And even if the media did... black people.. ESPECIALLY black women should not.

Every other race on the planet is exclusive.

Making this woman ?black? contributes to the erasure of what black actually is.

And if you think that?s OK... then don?t be surprised when a ?black? film... has nothing but women who look like  Leona Lewis, Megan Markle, Mariah Carey and Rasheeda Jones.

That's actually ignorant considering Meghan is African American and African Americans come in many shades and are integral to African American culture and history.

Trying to erase them is unnecessary considering White passing/Mixed African Americans are the main reason black people were able to get to where they are today by using their privileges to help advance us. of course thats only because of the one drop rule forcing them to be Black and darker skinned individuals having way more restrictions, but regardless Mixed and White passing people are just as black as the darkest African American if they chose to claim blackness.
