I can't imagine how many unreleased songs she has. She could put sumn together tbh

I can see why she wouldn't be in a huge RUSH to spend her own money to make an album, etc.

She comes from an era where everything was paid for and handled by labels in advance.

Can't be that easy to just snap into a new age way of thinking when all your other albums were created the old way.

She put her own teas into the Beggin and Pleadin mess right? Sis probably saw the return on her investment and said no thanks . At least she gave it a shot.

Music just isn't the money maker it used to be. And she has a child to think about - her education, future, etc. She just can't be out making it rain without knowing if it'll come back. She's always seemed very responsible and thoughtful when it comes to her money. Now if she was out buying cars left and right I'd be side eyeing her a bit. Like sis...but that's not the case.

First of all, don't lie to yourselves. Because the minute she drops some hot shit, you'll be right there jamming. (This is said with love and without malice - I have to clarify, because people will read it with whatever tone they want to read it in).

Secondly, when has she recorded in "secret"? You've heard snippets, background music, etc. it's no secret she's recording.

Thirdly, whether people want to understand it or not, shit DOES go on behind the scenes and things need to be in 100% order before anything. I rather a bitch have everything together, instead of just releasing something randomly and it go under the radar like an Ashanti single. (Just facts).

One thing I will say is (and I'm sure you guys know by what she has said about me) I don't play that "Yes man" shit. I tell it like it is, so believe me, if anyone gets it or pushes for certain things... it is me.

I wish I could say more, just hold on. I get it... it sucks. A long ass time. Also don't try to decipher when I say "hold on", and assume that means a new single next week. I hate when some of you think every comment she makes is a subliminal about music coming next week, tomorrow, etc. When I say "i hate", it's because they get their hopes up for nothing... and then get mad at her as if she said it was coming.  Just don't assume or jump to conclusions unless it's actually said.

An excellent producer like thankgod4cody wouldn't much of anything. Like a lot of up and coming producer.
Also to cut out distribution cost just make it a digital only for the first month and see how it does then release a physical if you really want.

How can you listen to hundreds of fans tell you that your music specifically got them through something ; get industry praise by pretty much everyone , and NOT release Music ? Especially when she?s the kind of girl that says her gift should be given to the world etc etc

I mean I get and feel that a lot of what you said is true ; as far as her being scorned a bit .
But I really don?t think people are begging for anything other than the music at this point . We see how the industry is.

Drop and album and reboot Moesha for all I care

I would LOVE for her to work for her Music
And make money moves to position herself to have a machine behind her again , but at this point a soundcloud EP is COO

But I also don't see anything wrong with her releasing a cute lil tea for the fans.

However it's pretty clear that GHan has had some challenges these past couple years.

And just because she may have some unreleased tracks laying around somewhere doesn't mean she thinks they're good enough to be released.

And if she has new stuff waiting, she may feel its too valuable to "toss onto Soundcloud and keep it moving". She may have a plan in mind. One that seems to be taking forever to pan out.
