It really love it
Use it all the time

ACK!

Bae!  I'm gonna copy/paste you the same things I asked Brandon then...

Can you tell me about check-in/check-out?  Like do you meet the host at the house and get the keys?  And does the host contact you at all during the stay?  Do they pop up?

Are there rules they have beyond the usual that would be at a hotel?
No bby
I?ve done it several times and I?ve never met the host
They usually hide the key somewhere and give u instructions on where to find ha
No major rules..
The only bad experience I had was in Detroit

Yuck

But that was my dumb ass doing one in that shit city
Other than that it?s everything

I?ve done this at least 30 times
And the hosts have never contacted me other than the Detroit one
They don?t pay attention to u or care..
they want their money and leave you be..
They are use to any and everything so I wouldn?t be pressed about how many guest I have with me either..
They aren?t watching you..
Just leave it clean and mess when u leave so they can rate u well..
Bad ratings make it hard for u to get nice ones ...

Thank you, Bae!!!!

ACK!

Not 30 times!  JJDJDFNnnnnnnnn  See!  This is what I need.

I kept imagining the host popping up and giving a Scream 3 mess while I'm sleep.  And I just don't have the time.  :kii:

And MESS at hiding the key.  What kinda scavenger hunt?

So yeah, in conclusion, AirBnb is TRASH and I'd rather stay in a damn hotel

But hotels too!

Not about to perch in some stranger's house

Not about to research them or do my own background check either

Not about to sanitize their apartment/house down because it doesn't fit my standard of cleanliness.

Not about to deal with whatever random mess could happen during my stay from a family emergency, pissed landlord, crazy neighbor or random friends and exes

Not about to use their refrigerator or food not knowing what they could've done to it or if they washed their hands before they touched any of it

Etc etc...

Like

I'm screaming!

Drais, I was researching on here before I made this thread.

And this post literally took me out! :kii:

I still feel the same way. I can't see myself using a PITSbnb mess.

Some of these places in Cali are sooooo beautiful, though.

Is it The Real World? :guys:

They're probably nice, but not for me. My friends have done it and rave over it but I'm super private and super cautious. I'd feel more at ease staying at a nice hotel.

I know what you mean, though!  That's why I copied your post in here.

There's just something about a hotel that feels 100% rock solid.

I still haven't decided, but I'm being swayed in the airbnb direction after this thread.

It may be weird but if the host is white I try to make sure there are reviews from blacks people before I book

wizzy

Id honestly be more worried as a host than a renter

do i have to switch locks every few?
how do u know someone renting didnt make themselves a copy?
n :uhh:

yummy

I heard something about a guy setting up cameras in his bedroom and bathroom when he had a bunch of college girls staying in his place so idk

The homes I?ve stayed in use passcodes instead of keys so I?m sure they change them after each visit

Why was I doing this last night?

IDK.  Social media is really what has created these concerns for me.  You read so much stuff over the years.  I think I remember seeing a tweet saying that hosts sometimes act funny when they know you're black or whatever.

But that could be totally false I suppose.

I've heard a few stories like this with Airbnb's.

Make sure you're checking for hidden cameras gorls.

Not a PornHub Live mess.  YKW.

LOONA.

Honestly, you're just gonna have to take a chance.

Airbnb seems to be pretty split. I see just as many horror stories as I do great experiences.
