this nigga probably sees him
half the battle is won
He's teaching him what some feels is to be a man. And it looks like he's teaching him respect as well, so those are 2 good weekends a month. Iono what baph could say that's racist btw because these are principles that are taught in the military, hence him saluting at some point in the video.
but I need context because maybe there?s more to the relationship like it looks like this is part of training the little boy to play football. You can?t be crying out there in front of ppl because it makes people think you?re weak and easy to prey on
And honestly alot of people feel like black men need that mentality to deal with just life as a black man. I can't fault anyone for trying to equip their child with tough skin. That's why white people are always breaking down and killing themselves and others. They weren't built up the way they need to be imo. White privilege is a gift and and curse.  When it's there you're good but when life starts to kick u in the ass, u easily break and aren't durable

Yea built up just to be a gangbanger who kills and steals shit. Very awesome.

ya rock muh world.

I don't see anything wrong with it. It's his son and not everyone is "woke" enough to really understand or care about hypermasculine standards, gender roles, etc. Generally the understanding is that boys are supposed to be tough and girls are supposed to play with dolls and learn how to cook on an easy bake oven. :dead:

If I were to clock him for this I'd have to clock Shatenqua for assuming her daughter wants to learn how to take care of a bvy by buying one that shoots out artificial piss.

etc.

This is honestly why so many Black men don't know how to deal with their emotions. Bottle it Up!
I agree with this but what he was saying here isn't exclusive to black men. The guy sounds like he's been to the military tbh and he just wants impose what he learned on his son

That stuff from the military isn't healthy AT ALL. PTSD   ^o)
PTSD is more about what they've experienced while in the military

You can have stress and night terrors about being brutally punished.

I don't think it's good or bad parenting.

I do think it's corny tho.

gbhfnmdmmmmmmmmmm

thts tha word i was lookin' for

I think it's good that he's teaching his son to be strong, but I hate this hyper-masculine BS always being pushed in the Black community.

Showing emotion doesn't make you any less of a man.

Brutally punished. Bath gor what movies you been watching

Y'all aren't making any sense with that.  Kids who end up in gangs or on the streets are kids who didn't have families or fathers to instill anything in them.  This lil boy is probably already destined for better because he has a role model and someone who he'll probably wanna make proud one day. What y'all are saying is moreso based on the fact that he's black so YEA, HE WONT BE ANYTHING. It's actually quite offensive tbh
This is my pass to say WHATEVER tf I wanna say about the mess she releases so I don't wanna hear SHIT! Baby mama is a mess of a song btw

I'm conflicted. I think it's amazing that he's being a father and  everything but he's reinforcing that men aren't supposed to cry, hyper masculine ideal that's kinda EH! Ultimately tho, I'm with it.  And him being a bby is irrelevant imo. That's exactly when ur supposed to mold ur kids into the people they're   gonna be.  Ur a sponge at that age
!!! But that?s my point. The specifics that he?s teaching him are why a lot of guys end up suppressing so much and it becomes damaging and super unhealthy

It?s not the end of the world and he isn?t some shitty father because of it, but I?d definitely make some..  tweaks and alterations ssssss
