A lot of these Instagram posers wear their insecurities on their sleeves and it's obvious, but we collectively go up for it.

i think that social media in general gives people a platform to feel like a celebrity. everyone gets their chance to feel important and step on soapboxes in front of everyone, etc. a "hear ye hear ye" mess owt if you will.

There's definitely a culture of putting on a show/facade for followers.

But maybe some people need that escape from reality. You never know someone's story. Social media is just one of many ways people run in some way - others include drugs, alcohol, etc. I mean, pick your poison. But it's always good to take some time to really focus on the reality of things and be self critical. Pat yourself on the back but don't be afraid to hold yourself accountable as well.

We all have some form of addiction. How we choose to face and deal with that addiction is the challenge and most of us ain't willing to do that sort of work because in 2017 that means putting that phone down and looking in the mirror and doing retrospective work and/or seeking counseling. I am guilty too so I ain't preaching to the choir.

Yeah we all have our guilty pleasures and addictions here and there. Really isn't one's place to say what's better and worse - unless it's something that's clearly harming someone in an extreme way. So mess. Can't even blame the 400+ followers this page has for subscribing a bit. Ultimately it's entertaining and that's what we want.  No different from turning on RHOA to see the mess going on there.
