are we really shocked that these women, especially BLack women (who already have less of a chance to book roles to begin with) are easily threatened?
if someone comes to u and says there's a new younger version of you somewhere slaying the scene .... you gotta think about your pockets. it's not all about just being petty IMO. this is how she makes her living. at least that's how i see it in this instance.
happens in the corporate world as well. older people usually feel some type of way when younger, highly competent and fresh people come rushing through the office doors and start getting a lot of attention. it's not just about "oh she think she cute" its about "damn this bitch may push me owt the door if im not careful."
