I don't see the issue. It represents the tarnishment of what was once considered something wholesome. Like it or not, that show will be linked to Pill Cosby's misdeeds from now on.

I agree

The show still had a positive impact on African American culture. One of the first black shows we saw a family striving for greatness, positive dicipline, encouraging the kids to go to college. I loved it :-/

Disrespectful, regardless of what happened...the show has nothing to do with the man.

Seriously though, his sexual encounters have nothing to do with anything else he's done but the fact that him being accused of rape makes it a completely different story. If these were just extramarital affairs and the media treated him this way, which I'm sure they would have done anyway, then I would say thats his private life but that's not the case.

I do believe, however, that those girls were just as freaky as he was and are now looking for an opportunity to gain something but he placed himself in that situation and I'm sure he did take advantage of them to a certain extent. I also think it was something that they could have prevented if they really wanted to.

Why should what he did in his personal moments affect the show as a whole? The show was a representation of an affluent black family, which had never been portrayed before.

I dont see anyone trying to tear apart Scandal or Empire in the media after there cast member's brush with the law.

That's all well and good but , just like in any other field, ypur personal can and will affect your personal life. It's no different from these racist ass white people getting fired over facebook posts.

And neither of those other shows have been heralded as cornerstones of the black experience the same way the cosby show was nor did any of the actors position themselves as moral leaders the same way cosby did.

Exactly. The media is bound to tear celebrities down in general. Are they being harsher because of his race, possibly, but kind of hard to argue with a rape charge..
