honestly my heart is with amara but she knows what she's doing.
im sure she understands that the unwillingness to conform will bring conflict.
she's standing in her mess regardless and not compromising. i get it. it's part of her brand.
it is commendable.
kinda like if one of those 100% organic companies started adding preservatives and mess into their foods.
yeah, maybe it's tempting to do it to see a lil more money and shelf life.
but they're unwilling to go back on what they stand for. once they take even one step back, their entire image and INTEGRITY is at risk. (finish the way you started).
Black pride is so much more than just proudly rocking an afro. i'm sure she knows that.
there plenty of strong, proud Black women who sew in their weaves, plop on their wigs, and strut on pavement every day.
but she's choosing to stay with this aesthetic for her image as an artist. she just has to be prepared for pushback.
it's kinda a high gamble high reward mess.
it makes her stand out. i'm sure she's aware of that.
ultimately she's standing in her mess and i'm here for it.
and for anyone else who stands in their mess.
