I wouldn't even call that a break. That was a normal lapse in between  albums imo. Confessions came out in 2004 and then he even did like a rerelease or sumn (that's when we got that horrible Alicia my boo collab) so confessions lasted for awhile. I'd say until like 2006 and then here I flop came out in 08. It wasn't no prolonged ass break. The people just no longer used :dead:

well Confessions kinda lasted until like 2006 with touring, re-releases etc
then Broadway, couple movies, then he took a break, married Tanmeka and
the rest is history

2006 could?ve been a great time to release tho. Same for Bran

I think the break was good
when Love in this Club dropped ppl went nuts and it went #1 out of no where
it was his marriage to Tameka that messed everything up, and especially him defending her on TRL
that was so cringy
