My mother is so verbally abusive. Sometimes I want to hate her but then I catch myself and tell myself that she gave me birth , ect. She has four children and neither one of us get along with her.  Is there a better way of dealing with abusive parents? I see some of you post nothing but positive things about your parents but I cannot relate

People definitely posts mess about their parents here.  My parents aren't abusive but I have standards and stipulations for anyone in my life in regards to how I'm treated and what I'll allow. I don't subscribe to the whole  "it's family, so you gotta deal" thing. If you plan on being a part of my life you'll show me the respect I deserve. I don't disrespect my family or friends so I'll settle for nothing less.  U too can be booted from my life, if that's what you'd like
