Young Hollywood is mainly getting lashed because A.) amara was already a star in the Latino community worldwide with a fan base.

B.) he?s representing a stereotype that most ppl on the islands don?t live or stand by.
It?s usually the latino?s that grew up in the US and mainly NY that don?t want to tick both boxes.

C) Miami where it?s shot is full of proudly black latino?s ...Mona should?ve saved this storyline for NY. It would spark more conversation there.

I can tell that shit doesn't go down like that where you live.

You were legit UPSET at some the tea that was being reported here .

I really do think it depends on where you live.

Hmmm
Outside of the shade to Amara
isn?t this kinda true?

No it?s not.

Besides AA havethis mess where they want you to just be black. Only biracial they acknowledge is when 1 of the parents is pure 1st gen white.

Or when they want to say every cuban, pr and dr person is black when it?s evident that some are as white as snow

Even amara states she is black and Latino. Her mom is Latina and her dad is black.
n
What does that have to do with ppl who look Afro Latino
denying their Black side? I don?t think anyone wants them to be JUST Black
but they are BLACK even if it?s half or whatever don?t say no I?m not
but it?s showing that in today?s climate more ppl are embracing their blackness

Because as I stated AA are very jealous of anyone who is connected to their heritage. Any form of celebration of that heritage is seen as denying you?re black. Amara ain?t the first to run this 8 mile stretch. Plenty of well know celebrities are black and Latin and proud of it.
this is not even the case
if anything Blacks LOVE finding something they?re mixed with and showing off. The only issues are usually with the half White ppl

:omgwatshappening:

You are fckn mess!!!!

ya rock muh world.

I wasn't going to rest until I found out what was what.

When people constantly ask you where you're from you begin to question it yourself.

My intentions were always genuine and something close to my heart.

I think the mess in NY gets amplified by the way ppl live in their own community?s with their own kind only.

Ton and Bow

Those are two related answers

There was a lil situation in the 4th grade LOLZ

So we were making small drawings of ourselves and we got to put clothes and decorate ourselves however we wanted to.

So mine was looking NICE, but the teacher pulled me into the hallway and was like, ?is there anything wrong with your picture??
:hmph:

I was like ... um no, it looks great!

Then she was like .... look at yours and then look at Lacy?s .... see anything??
:usuresis:

And I kinda got irritated cause I didn?t see it.
:stressed:

By basically she was like, maybe you should use some brown crayon and scribble some color inside your lines cause of your skin.

But I didn?t think I was white, I guess I just honestly didn?t see color in that instance. I knew I was a lil black boy.

That same week the lil white kids were making fun of my dark skin on the playground. So that?s why my mom stepped in

Mind you I grew up in a small town in OK, so I had a lot of racial awakenings early on :dead:

But I?m glad for them.
I still need to strangle Afro for exaggerating that mess! I?ll get you twinzy lolz.
Argh!!!  :fuming:

Random, but kids used to be harsh

Anybody else use to stay in the shade in the summertime when they were little?
:ummwhat:

It wasn?t until my mom told me she loved my chocolate skin that I started loving it

And she was right. Chocolate skin that?s taken care of just looks so damn SUCCULENT! Whew!
:blessed:

I still avoid the sun at all costs.

Like I literally hate it.
